Ignatius Press 2006 0898708338 / 9780898708332 second catholic edition new hard cover
A completely new design and typeset edition of the popular Ignatius Revised Standard Version-Catholic Edition Bible, with minor revisions to some of the archaic language used in the first edition. This revised version is a contemporary English translation without dumbing-down the text. Now the only Catholic Bible in standard English is even more beautiful in word and design! Features: Completely re-designed and newly typeset with 9 point font size. Wider margins and improved line-spacing for comfortable reading. The RSV, second Catholic edition is the only Bible translation that uses standard (non-feminist) English and is in conformity with the Church's translation guidelines found in the Vatican document, Liturgiam Authenticam Nine reference maps in color: 1. Mary's Books 2012 1616700793 / 978-1-61670-079-9
Miguel Pro was born on January 15, 1891. He was a michievous boy who liked to have fun and make people laugh. In 1911, after a three-day retreat given by the Jesuits, Miguel became a novice in the Society of Jesus. Around this time, a political revolution in Mexico brought about a government that began to persecute and kill Catholics. Miguel had to flee Mexico to finish his studies...... Reading this story can encourage us to follow in the footsteps of Bl. Miguel Pro, who helped bring Christ to those in need- even when it meant sacrificing his life. Has Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur

Fr. Dan Farley served 13 years as a priest in the Diocese of La Crosse, Wisconsin. His last assignment was pastor of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Almond. Fr. Dan was also a member of the U.S. Army Chaplaincy program. He obtained the rank of Major and served tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Fr. Dan became a regular contributor on The Inner LifeTM on Relevant Radio®. Over more than five years, he appeared on the air an estimated 70 to 80 times sharing his faith and love for the Church. Fr. Dan experienced the first symptoms of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in a war zone in Afghanistan. As a Catholic priest and a chaplain in the Army, Fr. Dan went wherever he needed to go to bring the message of Jesus Christ to those most in need. Whether it was his parishioners in the Diocese of La Crosse, youth gangs in the neighborhoods of East Lost Angeles or soldiers in combat zones around the world, Fr. Dan served others with compassion and love. Fr. Dan lived with epilepsy and eventually ALS. Through it all, he persevered in his call to the priesthood. In this story of suffering and perseverance, Fr. Dan helps each of us carry our own cross to the Mount of Calvary. In this intimate and very personal account of his life, Fr. Dan offers all of us inspiration, healing and hope.

AA-1025 The Memoirs of An Anti-Apostle, Marie Carre'
20 Marie Carre' AA-1025 The Memoirs of An Anti-Apostle
Tan Books & Publishers, Inc 1991 New
Memoirs of a Communist injured in an auto accident in France; he died in the hospital a few hours later. The nurse who attended him kept his journals, read them and published them as AA-1025. He had become a Catholic priest to subvert the Church from within. Describes his methods & plans. Says there were many more like him. Very enlightening! (A very holy priest gave me this book to read many years ago...the only thing I could say is, I was blown away by it. Fifty yrs. ago in Ireland my friend's Mother told her about these events so when she read the book it was an affirmation of her mother's words. After I read this book I was given "Unicorn in the Sanctuary", and these two books ignited a fire within me to defend our true Catholic faith. These were two books that turned me from an "oh hum" Catholic into a warrior for our faith. (Flo) Paperback pp.135
